We welcome like-minded nonprofit organizations to use the Lightning Creek facilities to serve the community with their own programs, elevated by our unique space. We also have options for corporate retreats, strategy sessions, and other types of private events. Learn more below.

Camping and curriculum
Partner Spotlight
In summer 2022, Crosscut piloted two partner programs at Lightning Creek with Headwaters Academy in partnership with Montana Wilderness School and with The Traveling School. Headwaters Academy visited three individual weeks for three day-two night backpacking trips for middle school students. This provided many of these students with their first experience sleeping outdoors! The Traveling School brought a group of high school students to Lightning Creek for a week to work on their classroom curriculum and recharge before heading back out into the field. Both these amazing pilot programs provided undistracted experiences that helped connect students to nature.
Private Events
Make Lightning Creek your home away from home and have this amazing 640 acre property all to yourself. Lightning Creek is available to host a variety of functions including corporate retreats, board meetings, social and community gatherings, and other programs. The property includes the space and sleeping accommodations you’ll need to create an amazing experience and gives you the freedom to add the vendors and caterers of your choice.
Private events must rent the entire facility and are available for day or overnight experiences.
